Student Induction

Welcome sign

Whether you are joining us for the first time or a returning student, head over to Preparing to Study and read about the things to do before induction.

Studying can be a daunting experience; using new online tools, finding your way around, meeting new people and knowing what is expected of you ... don't worry!  Your induction will provide you with a smooth transition into student life.

The NH Student Information and Guidance Brightspace Module will be a useful reference of resources and information which will complement your induction programme.  If you have any queries, contact your Programme Leader or PAT and remember everyone is here to help.

All students will receive details about induction dates in their offer email and dates/times are summarised in Induction Dates.

Good luck and enjoy your induction!

Before your first day;

  1. Go to our Coronavirus website to read the guidance there, especially the "Before visiting a campus" section.  Even if you feel well, this area of the website will provide you with important information about the safety measures we have in place.
  2. Make sure that you have your travel arrangements in place.  If you have concerns about travel please contact or call our main reception on 01847 88900, they will arrange for someone to give you a call to discuss your options.
  3. Consider what your options are for lunch, details about college facilities are avaialble online, however if you are unsure what will be available on or around your campus please bring lunch with you.  It is also suggested that students bring a re-fillable water bottle.

When you arrive on campus for the first time, staff will welcome you on site, find out what course you are doing and direct you to the room where your tutor and class will be.

Remember, everyone is here to help, if you are unsure ask any member of staff for help or see our contact details at the bottom of this page.
