Our campuses in Dornoch are designed and specialised to meet the needs of the hospitality and golf industries, however, there are also a number of networked degree courses available in Dornoch ranging from accounting and business to archaeology and equine business management. You will learn through a combination of video conference lectures and tutorials, and online study via the university's virtual learning environment (VLE) with support from your tutors.
Our hospitality and professional cookery courses combine theory and practical learning to incorporate the real work environment to our students. To enhance their learning experience, our students also operate our Stokehole Restaurant once a week for paying customers to further build their confidence and employability skills.

Our Burghfield House is also the venue and part organiser for the annual Young Highland Chef of the Year cooking competition, which invites chefs aged 18 - 30 to compete and cook for some of the UK's most influential chefs including Albert Roux, OBE KFO. Students are encouraged to enter the competition but are also be given the opportunity to support the competitors with their dishes and be part of the team to prepare and cook for the fine dining evening meal.

Professional Golf and Golf Management
Within yards of Royal Dornoch golf course (said to be the 5th best course in the world), lies Ross House, which is renowned for our Golf Management and Professional Golf honours degrees. The facility boasts a newly built Huxley Golf all-weather putting green. The course combines academic and practical aspects to deliver a fully-rounded approach to a career in the sport.
