Our strong links with industries allow our students to network with potential employers, take part in placements, research projects, live case studies, learn from guest lecturers and develop further essential skills. The development of enterprise and employability skills throughout these courses helps ensure you are well prepared for the future world of work. Many of our graduates work within local companies or have started businesses in the gift, clothing, leisure, hospitality and tourism industries.

Thinking of studying part-time?

The part-time fee grant, available from SAAS, gives help each year towards the cost of your tuition fees. The level of tuition fee SAAS will pay will depend on the number of credits you do and the qualification you are studying. Find out more about the part-time fee grant and award details.

“I always had plans to start my own business in the tourism sector and through the Business and Management degree modules, I was able to refine and form my business plan. I also attended a number of events and course trips throughout my studies, including an SIE Bootcamp at Stirling University to further develop my business plan."

"The work experience was really beneficial to me personally and career-wise. It allowed me to experience the ‘real world’ working environment as well as develop my communication skills, IT skills and team working while working on a project. It’s a great opportunity to take part in and can help towards future employment."

"I considered other colleges but decided that studying in my home town meant I had minimal accommodation fees and transport costs. I also felt North Highland College UHI were offering the same quality of course as other colleges in the cities."
