Virtual Graduation Week 2020

North Highland College UHI would like to congratulate all of our students who have completed their awards this year, in exceptionally challenging circumstances. Well done to the class of 19/20!

Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, we will be unable to hold our usual Graduation Ceremony in September this year. We do hope to hold a Celebration event in 2021 to recognise the achievements of our graduates and this will be organised as and when we are permitted to do so.

Instead of the September ceremony, North Highland College UHI will be holding a ‘Virtual Graduation week’ which will take place the week commencing 28th September for all of our graduates. Our virtual Graduation will include:

  • Messages of congratulations from HRH the Princess Royal (the UHI Chancellor), Crichton Lang (UHI Principal), Donald MacBeath (NHC Principal) and HISA
  • A list of all NHC students from SVQ3 and above who have graduated this year
  • Details of Student of the Year Award winners
  • Other fun and interesting photos and videos of students who have graduated this year.
  • A Press and Journal article listing all students who graduated during 19/20

Further details of the online graduation will be released in due course.

All graduates will receive an invite to the graduation week via their student email. Keep an eye on our social media pages for updates.

We would also like to ask students if they are willing to share any photos or videos they have of how they celebrated their achievements at home or otherwise– this can include family photos, messages from family and friends, photos of students with their certificates etc. Images will be shared with the University of the Highlands and Islands to be included in the Graduation week social media. If you would like to share anything with us, please send to: by Friday 4th September.

We are aware the Virtual Graduation won't provide the same experience as a graduation ceremony, but we hope you will make the most of this opportunity to celebrate your amazing achievements until we can be together sometime in the new year.
