North Highland College is looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual to provide a comprehensive mental health and counselling support service to enhance student wellbeing. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering a service to learners, using a range of means including internet-based resources, email, and telephone, along with maintaining records and overall monitoring and reporting on mental health and wellbeing issues, in line with current legislation.
This is a part-time, term-time only position, until June 2023, based at our main campus in Thurso, but you may be required to work at other college sites as required. This is a term-time position and you will not be required during college holidays.
Candidates must be qualified to a minimum of SCQF level 10 and have a professional qualification in counselling (PG Diploma in Counselling or equivalent. Must have experience in a counselling role and that of time limited therapy. The successful candidate will be required to deliver staff training and development related to mental health wellbeing and resilience.
