About...
During this course you will gain further insight into the hair and beauty industry, learning a range of practical skills and hair and beauty techniques. The course will help prepare you for a real working environment and give you a strong foundation to progress onto an SVQ Level 2 in hairdressing or beauty therapy.
You will study hairdressing practical skills such as shampooing & conditioning treatments, colouring, blow-drying, and designing a creative trend style. You will cover Beauty practical skills and makeup techniques, learn about working with customers & colleagues and look into career options within the industry.
Please note, you must be 16 years of age to complete the practical element of colouring.

Entry requirements
You must have achieved National 4 Hair and Beauty Units and demonstrate a keen interest in Hair and Beauty. You must also have a satisfactory school reference.
