National 5 and Higher Results
Following the Deputy First Minister’s direction to SQA to reissue downgraded results based on estimates submitted by Schools and Colleges, SQA have announced a new appeals process and have confirmed how new results will be issued. Full details can be viewed on the SQA website.
North Highland College UHI have emailed estimates to all students. Estimates for School Link students have also been provided to relevant Schools. Please check your email for this information and contact your NHC tutor or NHC Quality (NHCQuality@uhi.ac.uk / 01847889208) if you have not received your estimate.
Please read the SQA guidance on grounds for appeal. If you believe that you are eligible to appeal then contact us at NHCQuality@uhi.ac.uk providing details of your grounds for appeal. Please contact us by Monday 24th August for priority requests and Monday 31st August for all other requests.
North Highland College UHI will receive confirmation of new results from SQA. We will check these against the estimates we submitted. We don’t expect there to be any differences, however, if there are we will contact individuals to seek their permission to submit an appeal to SQA.
Appeals must be completed by us and sent to SQA by 25th August for priority requests and 7th September for all other requests. SQA will advise UCAS of any appeal outcomes by 4th September.
SQA have announced that revised certificates based on estimate results will be issued to students on Tuesday 8th September.
If you have any questions regarding these processes please contact your NHC tutor or NHC Quality (NHCQuality@uhi.ac.uk / 01847889208)
