North Highland College UHI starts campus expansion to accommodate more golf students
A new £2.55 million campus expansion project started this week by North Highland College UHI and partners to attract more golf students to the Highlands of Scotland.
The expansion is supported by strategic investment funds from the University of the Highlands and Islands and the Scottish Colleges Foundation and will see all curriculum delivered from a single campus in Dornoch, formerly known as Burghfield House. The expansion will include high specification facilities and equipment for the golf curriculum and modern open plan classrooms.
Appointing OBriens Construction Limited for the project, Debbie Murray, Director of Business Development and project owner said: ”We are delighted to see the new build starting on our Dornoch campus. We very much look forward to realising an improved and integrated campus for our students studying golf programmes. Moving all of our provision to one site will provide much wider benefits for North Highland College UHI, the University of the Highlands and Islands and our partners in Dornoch.”
The Dornoch campus will continue to house the university’s Centre for History and will continue to support hospitality and professional cookery students.
