Tom Duff, Director of Learning and Teaching attended the awards ceremony and said, “It was a pleasure and an honour to see so many students across the whole of Scotland honoured including our own students Charles, Jon and Stewart picking up commendations and awards in gaming and wildlife.”

The ALBAS celebrate learners’ achievements across the rural sector, including agriculture, aquaculture, equine, game and wildlife, and horticulture. The event aims to promote careers within the rural sector and highlight the importance of investing in skills.

Gamekeeping lecturer David Olds said: “One of the many highlights of my job is being able to promote and assist individuals in their career path, so I was very excited to attend and celebrate with them at the ALBAS Awards in Dunblane. They are all winners in my view and I am delighted to see them all recognised at this year’s awards ceremony. I very much look forward to keeping a close eye on where their successes take them in the future."
