Pathway to Hair and Beauty SCQF Level 4/5

What is special about this course?

This exciting course will provide you with a strong foundation in Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy, building the essential skills required to progress on to your chosen career path.

You will learn a wide range of hair and beauty techniques including washing, blow-drying, styling, skincare, makeup, manicures, and eye treatments, gaining knowledge about the latest techniques and trends in the industry.

In addition, you will develop your creativity, confidence, employability, and core skills by working with real clients in our commercial salon.

Entry requirements

• 1 National 3 Qualification,
• A Positive reference from Employer/School
• A signed fitness-to-work agreement

The course is made up of several units at SCQF 4 and 5:

• Salon Awareness
• Working in the Salon
• Employability Skills
• Creativity
• Salon Skills
• An Introduction to Colour
• Facial Skin Care and Make-up
• Manicure and Creative Nail Finishes
• Facial Skin Care Treatments
• Developing Skills in Eye Treatments
• Commercial Salon Experience & Core Skills

Fees

Full-Time Study

Full-time students will automatically receive the fee waiver if they are eligible from the information they have provided on their course application form.

If you have been living in the UK for at least three years, are an ordinary resident in Scotland before the course start date it is likely that you will not have to pay fees for your full-time course. Please check our fee waiver policy for more information.

Fees are payable on enrolment each academic year.

Some of our courses require students to have essential equipment/clothing please check with your course tutor.
