Hand and Power Tool Safety College Certificate

What is special about this course?

This course is intended for staff who will be engaged in engineering, construction or demolition works requiring the usage of power tools. The aim of this course is to provide participants with the theory and safe working practices related to operating a range of hand held electric power tools complying with manufacturer instructions, thus aiding avoidance of injury within the workplace.

The course is interspersed with video and “practical hands-on” with a variety of tools which can be tailored to suit the client’s needs.

Entry requirements

No formal entry requirements.

  • Develop an awareness of Health and Safety relating to Hand Held Electric Power Tools
  • Use tools correctly and safely to recognised safety and manufacturer instructions
  • Use appropriate methods of storage and maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.
